- Join New Yorker Shouts & Murmur contributor Ginny Hogan for a three hour seminar on satire writing. In this class, she'll explain the basic elements of a short satire piece and walk the students through a few of her favorite examples. She'll also review some of the most common mistakes made in the editing/pitching process. Each student will come with several ideas, and together, the class will help each other brainstorm beats for one of them.
