He started comedy right after college because he didn't feel like going to law school and he's loved every second of it. Usually you can catch him performing every night in some of the best and worst shows in New York City, or he's on the road at a club or college near you. Ian Lara might become a household name but really all he wants is to get big enough where he can wear those big hats Pharrell wears to awards shows. Peace!Jon has appeared on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert and the Late Show with David Letterman, has been featured in Maxim Magazine, and was the host of the widely popular podcast, “In the Tank”. A prolific monologist with universal appeal, Jon focuses on the idiosyncrasies of city living. Shortly after moving to NYC from his native Boston, he was chosen as one of Comedy Central’s Fresh Faces of Comedy and named one of Back Stage Magazine’s 10 Standout Stand-ups. His appearance on Last Comic Standing 4 – where he was the New York City Capital One Audience Favorite – earned him wide recognition and a new legion of fans. His other TV appearances include Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, VH1, Celebrity Apprentice, and 3 Men and a Chick Flick on the WE Network where he served as a host. Interestingly, the credit people seem most impressed by was that he was handpicked to open for Jerry Seinfeld in 2009 at Gotham Comedy Club Jon has performed at multiple festivals including the 2007 HBO Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen and the 2010 Great American Comedy Festival at the Johnny Carson Theatre in Norfolk, Nebraska. In addition, he was a critical favorite at the prestigious Montreal “Just for Laughs” Festival where he appeared in both the “New Faces” showcase and the Club Series show “Dating It.” Following his impressive performances, Jon was singled out by the Hollywood Reporter and the Montreal Gazette as a “stand out performer”. Most recently, he was invited to perform at this year’s TBS “Just For Laughs” Comedy Festival in Chicago.Myq Kaplan is a comedian named Myq Kaplan (pronounced “Mike Kaplan” when done correctly or however you like, he’s not picky). The Comedians magazine calls him “a comedy machine, in the best possible way. The way that some machines vend soda or prevent other machines from killing future revolutionaries – that’s how Myq Kaplan does comedy: relentlessly, methodically, unblinkingly.” Myq just made his debut on “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien,” and his half-hour “Comedy Central Presents” special will appear in 2010 (a year for which Punchline Magazine says to watch out for Myq). He has also appeared on Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham,” at the New Faces show of the 2009 Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, was voted 2008’s Best Local Comedian in the Boston Phoenix, and won the 2009 NY’s Funniest Standup Competition. A Jewy-ish vegan atheist who spells the name “Mike” weird, Myq enjoys words, social justice, Netflix, and comic books. Also non-comic books, ping-pong, and being great with women. And grammar and run-on sentence fragments. And of course, being hilarious to his demographic, which is anyone who might know the word “demographic.”After obtaining a philosophy degree Jordan worked as a farmer, carnie, and carpenter in her home town of Ithaca NY before starting her standup career in Nashville TN. After relocating she toured the south and performed locally with Zanies comedy club and Corporate Juggernaut which gave her the opportunity to open for, among others, Nate Bargatze, Jen Kirkman and Kyle Kinane. After developing her voice as the rugged child of a pack of lesbian wolves, she decided to move to Brooklyn where she has since started two shows, a podcast and a carpentry business.
